Reactor Cooling Study
CSD Engineers was hired by a local chemical company to develop a process simulation model of a reactor venting system using Aspen HYSYS®. This was done to quantify the cooling effect that can be realized from depressurization of the batch reactors at the client’s facility. CSD was able to compare the heat produced by the reaction to the cooling that could be achieved to determine if the cooling was adequate to maintain control of the reaction.
